Chat Drops
Chat drops are interactive trivia events that appear randomly in active channels. The first member to type the correct answer wins credits. No command required to participate — members just type in chat.
They turn passive chatting into a shared moment — everyone in the channel can compete, and winning one feels more tangible than a silent background credit drop.
How Chat Drops Work
- A member's message triggers the chat drop (based on the
chat-dropsdrop rate) - The bot posts a question in the same channel
- Members race to type the correct answer
- First correct answer wins — the bot announces the winner
Question Types
Chat Rewards includes 1,000+ built-in questions covering general knowledge, pop culture, history, science, geography, and more. There are also:
- Math problems — calculated on the spot
- Typing challenges — a random string of characters that members must retype in lowercase (copy-pasting is intentionally blocked by requiring lowercase input)
- Multiple choice — members click a button instead of typing; each member gets one attempt
Answers are case-insensitive. The answer must be a whole-word match (not a partial word).
Rewards
Each chat drop awards 250–300 credits to the winner. If the winner has an active multiplier, the bonus applies on top.
Custom Questions
You can add your own questions to the pool with /chat-drops create. Custom questions appear alongside built-in questions. See Custom Chat Drops.
Frequency
Control how often chat drops appear with the chat-drops rate in /rates manage.
Recommended ranges:
- Lower-activity servers: 0.7–1%
- Higher-activity servers: 0.3–0.7%
To disable chat drops entirely, set the rate to 0%.
Manual Drops
Admins can trigger a chat drop at any time with a custom question:
/spawn chat-drop <question> <answer> [#channel] [reward]
See Spawn for details.

Troubleshooting
Chat drops never appear:
/rates view— confirmchat-dropsrate is above 0%/active-channels view— confirm channels are active- Confirm bot has Send Messages permission in the channel
Bot doesn't detect the answer:
- Answer must match exactly (case-insensitive, whole-word)
- No extra spaces or characters
- Multiple-choice drops require clicking a button, not typing
