Custom Chat Drops

Add your own trivia questions to the chat drop pool with /chat-drops manage. Custom questions are mixed in with Chat Rewards' built-in 1,000+ questions and can appear whenever a chat drop triggers.

Generic trivia works fine, but questions only your regulars would know - server history, inside jokes, community facts - create moments that feel specific to your server rather than just filler.

Limits​

  • Free servers: up to 3 custom questions
  • Premium servers: up to 30 custom questions

Managing Custom Chat Drops​

Use /chat-drops manage to open the custom chat drops panel for your server.

From this panel, you can:

  • add a new custom chat drop
  • edit an existing question or answer
  • delete a custom chat drop
  • browse all saved custom chat drops in one place

Question and answer limits:

  • question: max 200 characters
  • answer: max 50 characters

Example questions:

  • What is our server's mascot?
  • Who founded this server?
  • What year was this server created?

How Answers Work​

Answers are case-insensitive - Dragon, DRAGON, and dragon are all accepted.

Answers require a whole-word match - the answer text must appear as a complete word in the member's message.

Keep answers short and unambiguous. Single words or short phrases work best. Avoid answers that could match common words unintentionally.

Rewards​

Custom chat drops use the same credit reward as built-in drops: 250-300 credits. There is no per-question reward amount - the reward is chosen when the drop triggers.

Writing Good Questions​

Works well:

  • Server-specific facts: What year was this server created?
  • Server trivia: Who is the server founder?
  • Inside jokes the community would know

Avoid:

  • Answers that change over time (How many members do we have?)
  • Subjective answers (What's the best game?)
  • Very long or multi-word answers that are hard to type quickly
  • Questions where the answer is a common word (increases false matches)

Troubleshooting​

Custom questions never appear: They're drawn from a combined pool with built-in questions. The more questions in the pool, the less often any one question appears. If you only have 1-2 custom questions, it may take a while before they show up.

Wrong answers accepted: Check if your answer is a common word that appears in normal chat. Use more specific answers to avoid unintended matches.
