Drop Rates
Drop rates control how often rewards appear when members chat in active channels. Each rate is an independent percentage chance per message.
Getting these numbers right matters: too high and credits pile up fast, making shop items feel cheap; too low and members never notice rewards exist.
Commands
/rates view — view current rates (no permission required)
/rates manage — open the interactive rate editor
The Five Rate Types
| Type | What it controls |
|---|---|
common | Common reward drops (50–150 credits) |
epic | Epic reward drops (250–500 credits) |
legendary | Legendary reward drops (500–1,000 credits) |
chat-drops | Chat drop trivia events |
chat-flurries | Auto chat flurry events |
Each type is checked independently on every message. A single message can trigger a reward and a chat drop at the same time.
Limits
- Free servers: max 1% per type
- Premium servers: max 3% per type
- Minimum: rates can be set as low as 0.0001%
- Set a rate to 0 to disable that type entirely
Presets
When you click View Presets in /rates manage, you'll see three built-in presets:
| Preset | Common | Epic | Legendary | Chat Drops | Chat Flurries |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High | 1.0% | 0.5% | 0.3% | 0.5% | 0.25% |
| Balanced (default) | 0.7% | 0.2% | 0.1% | 0.2% | 0.1% |
| Low | 0.4% | 0.1% | 0.05% | 0.15% | 0.05% |
Understanding Combined Rates
Each rate is checked separately, so all active rates contribute to the overall reward frequency. For example, if common is 0.7% and epic is 0.2%, there's roughly a 0.9% combined chance something happens from those two types alone.
Keep this in mind when tuning: a server running all five types at 1% each has a combined ~5% chance of something triggering per message, which means roughly 1 in 20 messages generates an event.
Rate Reference Table
| Rate | Frequency |
|---|---|
| 1% | ~1 in 100 messages |
| 0.7% | ~1 in 143 messages |
| 0.5% | ~1 in 200 messages |
| 0.3% | ~1 in 333 messages |
| 0.1% | ~1 in 1,000 messages |
Tips
Too many rewards? Cut rates by half, and increase shop prices so credits feel valuable.
Too few rewards? Increase rates gradually — small changes have a big impact at scale.
Chat feels stale? Increase chat-drops or chat-flurries rates to add interactive events.
Server event or milestone? Temporarily boost legendary to 1% for excitement, then reset it after.
You can also manually trigger any reward or event with /spawn — useful for testing or special occasions without changing your permanent rates.
