Blacklist & Opt-Out
Two separate systems control whether a member participates in Chat Rewards:
- Blacklist — admin-enforced. Use this for rule violations or abuse.
- Opt-out — member-controlled. Members can voluntarily stop participating.
Both are per-server and don't affect other servers.
Blacklist
/blacklist @member add — prevent the member from interacting with Chat Rewards
/blacklist @member check — check whether a member is blacklisted
/blacklist @member remove — restore the member's access
Requires: Manage Server or the configured Mod Role.
Blacklisted members:
- Cannot earn credits (message rewards, chat drops, daily credits, boost rewards)
- Cannot answer chat drops
- Are excluded from all leaderboards
Blacklist events are logged to the logging channel if configured.
Opt-Out
Members can opt out themselves using /opt-out. Opting out:
- Stops all reward earning
- Hides the member from leaderboards
- Can be reversed by the member with
/opt-out→ Opt In
Admins can view but should not coerce members to opt back in — opt-out is a user preference.
When to Use Which
Use blacklist when a member is violating rules, farming rewards, or exploiting the economy. Document the reason and use the logging channel for an audit trail.
The opt-out feature is for members who simply don't want to participate. Don't blacklist someone who has just opted out.
